Collective Bargaining Tentative Agreement Reached

Joint Statement between the School Board of Seminole County and the Seminole Education Association, Inc.

In the spirit of cooperation, the School Board of Seminole County and the Seminole Education Association, Inc. are pleased to announce that the parties have tentatively agreed to contract language and compensation.

  • Recurring salary increase for the 2024-2025 school year as follows:
    • Highly Effective - $2,149.80
    • Effective - $1,253.43
    • Grandfather - $1,679.40
  • Beginning teacher salary increased to $50,000.00.
  • A one-time bonus for all returning teachers of $500.00 to be paid on August 16th (excluding probationary teachers).
  • A one-time bonus of $1,300.00 for teachers with 10-19 years of SCPS instructional experience.
  • A one-time bonus of $2,305.00 for teachers with 20 + years of SCPS instructional experience.
  • A one-time bonus of $1,000.00 for self-contained ESE teachers or teachers employed at specials centers, Journeys, Eugene Gregory, Endeavor, and Hopper.
  • All teachers at Title I served schools will receive a $100.00 supplement.

The ratification vote will take place on July 29th and July 30th at the Educational Support Center, located at 400 E. Lake Mary Blvd., Sanford, FL. from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm in rooms 107 & 108.

The School Board and the Seminole Education Association, Inc. extend their appreciation to those who made contributions to a positive and productive bargaining process and look forward to the continuing partnership as we build upon the excellence of Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS).
